Shannon Morrissey
PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR Hello! My name is Shannon and I am very excited to be a part of the Cairn Hill team! I was born in Denver, CO but have lived in Lynn for most of my life. Since I was young, I always wanted to become an educator. Some of my earliest memories are of my younger sister and me playing school. Years later, I now have over 15 years of experience and a degree in Early Childhood Education. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my dog Chloe walking in Lynn Woods or on the beach! I also enjoy watching movies, painting and trying a new restaurant with friends. I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher and look forward to a year of learning, fun, and adventure! |
Cathy Ventura
LEAD TEACHER Cathy Ventura graduated from Salem State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and has been working with children for 10 years. Her favorite part about teaching is watching her children’s curiosity unfold as they learn about and experience new things. Her love for the outdoors was sparked by a college Biology professor who gave her the best advice anyone could ever give; whenever you get the chance, make sure you spend time outside. In her free time, Cathy loves hiking with her dog Ace, going to the beach, and camping with her friends. When it comes to teaching, she loves doing art projects and is not afraid to get messy in the classroom. You can be sure to catch her finger painting, using soil for sensory play, or even using props to act out stories. Ultimately, the best thing she believes you can give to children is the opportunity to learn and grow through hands on play. Stop on in to say hello to Cathy any time! |
